Frequently Asked Questions

When Should I Replace My Garage Door?

Take a good look at it. Does it sag when it's raised? Do the rollers catch or drag when it is raised or lowered? Is it cracked, split, dented or rusted? Is it safe and secure? Are you tired of painting and repairing your door? Consider how your door affects the appearance, safety, security and value of your home.

What Should I Look For In Garage Door Construction?

To ensure long-lasting beauty and durability, consider several things about your next garage door: Available styles, colors and options. Materials of construction-steel or wood. Types of construction. Security and safety.

What Protects Steel Doors Against The Elements?

For long term beauty and performance, Heritage Door uses the finest protection system in the industry: dual-sided, hot-dipped galvanizing, finished with a baked-on polyester topcoat over a baked-on primer, resulting in exceptional warranties.

All steel doors feature hot-dipped G-40 or G-60 galvanizing on every piece of steel. This process dips the steel in a bath of rust-preventive zinc, resulting in more coverage than electorogalvanizing, found on other garage doors. This means your door will be rust-free 4-6 times longer than electrogalvanized doors. Paint Protection: After galvanizing, all steel is coated on both sides with a baked-on primer and polyester topcoat in white, almond, brown or sandtone. This finish system is durable and beautiful and requires no further painting. All finish-painted steel doors may be painted with a high-quality latex paint to match your home.
